Book Review: Supernaturally (Paranormalcy #2) By Kiersten White

Supernaturally - Kiersten White

A 10 year old me would come at me guns blazing for what I'm about to say about one of her favorite book series: This book was just OK to me. I would have loved it if this moved along faster. By the last chapter I was just ready to be done with this and move on. Unfortunately, I don't see what I first saw in this book in particular, which is disappointing to say the least.

Evie was a bit melodramatic to me in this novel. I don't particularly remember if in the first book she was like this, but this time around it really bothered me. I also disliked it when she specifically told Lend "No more secrets" and then proceed to still keep them after he gave her the opportunity to say something.

The little bit of Lend that I saw in this book, I loved. He was very understanding and caring. The ending proved what kind of man/character he is, which made me like him even more. I would have liked to see more scenes of Evie and Lend spending time together because those scenes were few and far between.

I may pick up the next/last book just to find out what happens at the end of it all with Evie, Lend and the whole group of characters. For now, I will give myself some time to forget Evie's drama in this book and get myself hyped up for the next book.

The Audio Book:

I still love the narration. Emily Eiden's voice is exactly what I pictured for Evie and her male voices can be distinguished between male characters.
